There are four hot standards (verbal orders, history and physicals, security of medications, and post-anesthesia orders) in the hospital Conditions of Participation (CoPs). Hospitals continue to strive to meet compliance with these challenging standards. The relationship to the Joint Commission standards will also be discussed.
